The Telrad Finder is the first zero power finder to be mass produced. It works much the same way as a heads up display in a fighter jet works. The image of a target is passed through a lens to make appear as if it were at infinity. It is then bounced off a slanted piece of glass. When the user looks through the glass he sees both the image of the target and the object the Telrad is pointed at. Our finder charts were written specifically as companions to the Telrad.

The Telrad has found uses other than on a telescope. They are very popular with spotlight operators also. Placing a Telrad on a spotlight allows the operator to see where the spotlight is pointed before he opens the shutter of the spotlight.
